Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is seeking a talented and motivated individual for a Joinery Apprentice role within our skilled Facilities Maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the joinery trade from experienced professionals and develop a rewarding career in the aviation industry.

**Contract Information**
- Initial 24-month fixed contract
- 40 Hours (Full Time)
- Opportunity to progress to Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Planned salary increases throughout the apprenticeship

**About the apprenticeship**:
The program combines practical and classroom-based learning to provide you with the skills and knowledge required for an architectural joiner. Upon successful completion of the Level 2 standard, you will be expected to progress to the Level 3 standard.

**About the role**:
As a Joinery Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of Craftsman Joiners, and facilities Maintenance Managers during your apprenticeship.

As your skill base increases, you will undertake various tasks such as:

- Installation, operation, maintenance (reactive and planned), and repair of (to British Standards)
- Bench Joinery
- General Joinery
- Ironmongery
- Door locks and barrels
- Preparation work

As a Joinery Apprentice at Manchester Airports Group, you'll have the chance to use various hand tools and portable machinery like drills, sanders, and routers while assembling joinery items such as doors, windows, and bespoke furniture.

You'll also gain hands-on experience through supervised minor works and learn to prioritize health and safety for yourself and others around you. Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll be expected to comply with all MAG Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and keep a record of your tasks in a training logbook.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- No prior Carpentry & Joinery experience required
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C (including Maths and English)
- Valid Full UK Driving Licence
