**Job overview**:
**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will also be responsible for the post-operative management of in patients with the help of the rest of the vascular team e.g. discharge summaries, discharge letters and medication prescribing.

**Qualifications & Conditions**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Full registration with the General Medical Council and a valid Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council.
- Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies or evidence of equivalent training and experience.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Some experience in vascular & endovascular surgery
- Completion of post-graduate qualification (e.g. MRCS part 1).

**Experience and clinical skills**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Evidence of achievement of Foundation, ST1 and ST2 or equivalent competencies in Vascular Surgery

**Desirable criteria**:

- Proven ability to take clinical history and undertake examination. Knowledge of the workings of the NHS.

**Academic, Research Skills, Teaching, Management**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of research
