**What you'll be doing**

Our mission is to create thriving communities and empower the lives of our customers. And at its core is the belief that everyone has the right to a safe, warm and affordable home. To do this, we need to evolve and focus on developing strong regional governance and leadership, that can empower and support better services for our customers.

We’re looking for five new south east regional board members to uphold our values and vision and deliver positive accountability for customers and stakeholders across Abri’s south east region covering Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire and South Buckinghamshire.

Earlier this year we announced a potential partnership between Silva and Abri, and we shared a new regional approach if Silva are to join the Abri Group. The south east regional board will include a range of individuals that bring a variety of skills, including customers who will bring lived experience to the board. The purpose of the board is to stay grounded in the communities of the region, so we can be truly accountable to our customers and maintain a strong local presence to guide our strategy and delivery.

The south east region will have a regional managing director leading on decisions about delivery of local services and acting as an ambassador to local authorities and other stakeholders in the area. They will work with the regional and group board to provide local accountability - that’s why recruiting to these roles is so important.

As a board member you’ll listen to and be accountable to the customers in the region, representing them to the wider organisation and working with the regional customer panels to make sure our service delivery and continuous improvement programmes keep customers and their wellbeing at the heart of all we do.
