**Salary - to £35k plus car allowance**
Our well known client, based in Kettering is recruiting a Compliance Coordinator to work with the Compliance Manager and other key stakeholders in the business.
You will deliver the key elements of the company's compliance assurance activities (Policy Reviews; Exception Tracking and Reporting; Training; Corrective Actions).
The Ideal Person:
- A level of experience of working as part of a compliance function within Financial Services, or experience of working within an FCA approved Consumer Credit firm (preferably at a Team Leader level)
- Awareness of key FCA topics such as but not limited to customer vulnerability, consumer duty requirements and SYSC requirements.
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification and/or industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Project management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel (estimated 25% of working time)
**Specifically you will**:
- Assist with implementing and reviewing the policies, procedures and processes necessary to maintain a robust culture of compliance with particular focus to Financial Conduct Authority Consumer Credit obligations and Data Protection.
- Maintain the Financial Services and Data Protection policies and procedure documents in line with all regulatory and business requirements.
- Conduct compliance related activities to maintain authorisation to conduct Consumer Credit business activities in the UK.
- Provide management information of assurance findings and associated remediation plans on a regular basis to the management team and key stakeholders to keep them informed of the operation, progress and effectiveness of compliance monitoring plan.
- Assist in delivery of compliance regulatory training programme, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
- Monitor the performance of the compliance assurance programme and recommend appropriate steps to improve its ongoing effectiveness.
- Recommend corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
- Assist with, and where required, manage compliance projects (as part of the overall Compliance Monitoring Plan). Ensuring the timely delivery of key tasks and the appropriate management of other individuals participating with the project delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, all appropriate regulatory bodies and other relevant third parties (e.g. external advisors).
- Collaborate with other departments such as legal, investigate and resolve compliance issues as they arise. Ensuring consistent and timely handling of regulatory issues.
