A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY

The Team Leader of the Supplier Support Team’s (SST) role involves day to day organisation and task setting and support for:

- Provide supplier technical support through the component qualification process.
- Providing technical support for general enquiries from Suppliers, Supplier Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing, making engineering judgements regarding components or assemblies that deviate from specification.
- Helping Supplier Quality investigate supplier non-conformances and introduction of containments and solutions.
- Capacity planning, technical guidance, and prioritisation of the SST workload.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Your technical guidance within the component pre-qualification process will help Supplier Quality to ensure that a stable and high-quality production process is established.
- Your relationship with suppliers will ensure that technical issues are addressed.
- You will directly impact the effect of non-conforming parts on production.
- You will directly assist in the development and growth of team members and the department.

WHAT YOU BRING

A Mechanical Engineer educated to degree level.

Good understanding of how a core gas turbine works.

Understanding of materials and coatings used within gas turbines is desirable.

Good understanding engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Project management, leadership and managing multi-functional teams experience is desirable.

Good communications skills and problem-solving skills, including presentations to large groups, and interactions with all levels of business and customers.

Autonomous in daily working, whilst engaging as part of a team and willing to offer support to others.

Competent MS Office user
