Foh Supervisor

**We are looking for an experienced, ambitious FOH supervisor to join our team at Block in Barnstaple. We serve exciting food from around the world in our restaurant on Butchers Row and to people's homes throughout Barnstaple.**

We make everything in-house from scratch and take no short-cuts or compromises in delivering authentic, fresh food that hits the spot. We pride ourselves on our warm and friendly customer service which keeps customers coming back every week.

The Role:
This is a naturally dynamic and varied role but you will be comfortable with:

- Discussing world cuisine with customers - so you’ll enjoy cooking or eating
- Recommending our dishes, beers and wines with customers ensuring they receive the product right for them
- Using a commercial espresso machine and knowledge of how to make and deliver key customer choices
- Strong attention to detail - making every guest feel comfortable and relaxed for the duration of their stay.
- Using the in-house booking system & phone, to manage bookings and walk-ins / takeaway orders
- Organised - Scheduling and time management to ensure a smooth service every time
- Can work under pressure, problem solving and identifying potential issues in advance
- Till management and “cashing up”
- Being the face of the restaurant, creating a buzzy, friendly atmosphere
- Training and engagement of the team, motivating them to meet your high standards
- Meeting and exceeding targets, improving sales and customer satisfaction.
- A working understanding of social media and IT skills

You’ll be:
You will either be an experienced duty manager, shift manager or FOH Supervisor or a strong supervisor and your background will be working in busy coffee shops, restaurants, cafes, customer facing catering operations or cafe bakeries - in a hands-on capacity.

Available to work Wednesday-Saturday with various shifts between 08:00 - 22:00

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£22,500.00 per year
