Purchasing Assistant

**Location**: Monmouth, Wales, UK

**Permanent 40hours a week Monday - Friday**

We are excited to be expanding out purchasing team bringing us to a team of 4, where we have responsibility for the accurate purchasing of raw materials, packaging, consumables and services across our entire Manufacturing Operation.

We are looking for someone who can bring the sprit of “we can do anything” to help us ensure production have what they need and that we are providing excellent customer service to our stakeholders internally and externally. In this role some of the things you will do are:

- Raising purchase orders from stationary to bulk raw materials
- Tracking and communicating delivery dates to all relevant departments
- Working with suppliers to ensure we have all the documentation we need and that its filed and stored in line with processes and procedures
- Reporting damages and escalating complaints to the supplier and where necessary chasing credit notes
- Conducting market research to identify new suppliers and products that align with our quality standards to provide quotes in line with requests.
- Updating spread sheets and checking information in preparation for reporting

To be successful in this role we are looking for the following:

- Previous experience working in a Customer Service, Purchasing or Order processing environment
- Experience of working with computers and software such as MS office Outlook and Excel with the ability to learn bespoke systems.
- Experience of data entry, checking and tracking information accurately
- Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing/Production environment with Raw Materials ordering/control is desired but not essential

**Location**

Due to the nature of being with the products and working with production this role is an onsite role at our manufacturing facility in Monmouth Wales.
