We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic Handyperson / Gardener for our registered residential home for 16 people with mental health needs, located in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. You will be part of a highly committed team which provides the delivery of a person-centred recovery and residential rehabilitation service for people with enduring mental health needs to strengthen both our staff teams and the quality of the service that we provide.

Relevant experience and a genuine interest in working in a service with adults with mental health needs is essential; as is a commitment to diversity.
- You will have overall responsibility for the sites security, building and grounds upkeep. You will ensure that the site maintains a high standard of presentation, repair and cleanliness.
- You will provide caretaker duties for the service maintaining the internal and external space to a high standard, including basic decorating.
- You will be responsible for health and safety checks at the service and reporting / resolving any concerns.
- You will be responsible for void flat checks and completion of tasks to ensure flats are

Re-lettable at the earliest opportunity.
- To provide a polite, efficient and flexible maintenance service and to report any concerns about health, safety and the welfare of service users or staff to the Line Management.
- You will be committed to ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your work effectively.

You will be well organised and efficient with excellent communication. You will be approachable with a warm and helpful manner. You must enjoy working in a team environment as well as be able to work alone using your own initiative.
