**Job Title**: Yardman

We are a family-owned surfacing company. We require an enthusiastic, Driven and motivated Yardman to join our team.

**Location**:4 days Company HQ, Adelaide Dock, Sittingbourne, Kent and

1 day Morden Wharf, Tunnel Avenue, Greenwich

**Responsibilities**:
**Daily for Sittingbourne and weekly for Greenwich**
- Daily plant checks on lorries and in the plant storage container
- Ensure any plant not on lorries in yard gets moved to storage Container
- Monitoring stock levels of hand tools, lines and gas then reporting to Works Programmer.
- Filling of 25 litre petrol cans at petrol station.
- Record return loads when lorries come back to yard and report to P&T
- Load lorries with Telehandler for break tests
- Break up material in bays with JCB if available
- Load lorries with waste asphalt from the bays
- Pick up materials / small plant if required
- Washing down plant
- Unloading deliveries and check delivery notes
- Keep storage areas tidy
- Ensure a good stock of PCC’s are bagged and palleted in both depots.
- Driving vans for maintenance to third party workshops
- Pick up and or drop off our drivers to third party workshops
- Occasional fuel truck duties
- General duties to keep yard tidy and vegetation down
- Ensure drain runs are washed through twice a week.

**Desirable Future Development**:

- Telehandler / JCB ticket to operate
- CSCS qualification

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sittingbourne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- CPCS (preferred)
