**Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pM/Friday: 8am - 3.45pm**

**£30,000 - £35,000pa**

**The Buyers responsibilities**:

- Processing of orders, raising purchase orders and submitting these to suppliers.
- Work to the principles of lean manufacturing and ensure stock outs and overstocking are minimised.
- Updating Company systems and trackers.
- Processing non-conformance reports and managing inventory.
- Arranging and scheduling sub-contract purchases and processing related administration.
- Expediting orders where appropriate.
- Working closely and communicating with business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensuring that suppliers meet Company quality standards and that any issues are dealt with to a high standard
- Focus on reducing Company expenditure by proactively reviewing pricing obtained by suppliers
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Working to departmental SLAs.
- Support with new product introduction
- Any other reasonable duties as required.

**The Buyer must have**:

- Previous experience in a similar fast paced purchasing/buying role.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Customer service experience particularly dealing with internal customers.
- Confidence on the phone in an open-plan office
- Ideally previous experience of using an MRP system.
- Proven IT skills and experience of using the core Microsoft packages.
- Proven experience of building relationships with suppliers & internal customers.
- Drivers licence ideal due to rural location.
