Swimming Instructor

WLD Swim School is looking for an enthusiastic swimming instructor to join our team. Our instructors are asked to teach swimming lessons to Pre-School and Primary aged children of all abilities, helping children reach their goals whether they are learning to swim for the first time or trying to improve their technique.

**Main duties and responsibilities: -**
- To plan and teach age and skill-appropriate lessons
- Promote a safe swimming environment at all times
- Greet swimmers warmly and create a positive rapport with each one
- Identify participants’ abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential
- Modify lessons as needed to ensure each swimmer’s success
- Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback regularly
- Keep accurate records of attendance and progress for each swimmer
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the pool area and changing rooms
- Ensure safe provision of all equipment and ensure it is used correctly
- Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
- Assist with special events and other duties as assigned
- Perform basic first-aid
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures
- To abide by a code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with site policies, including equal opportunities, safeguarding children, health and safety at work, etc.

**Essential requirements**:

- Level 2 Swimming Teacher or equivalent
- Flexibility to work during school hours, after school, evenings and weekends
