The company has led the convenience food retail market for years, with a long-standing presence in both the UK and throughout Europe. The business is dedicated to innovation and is strategically placed in multiple UK locations to effectively service and delight its customers.

**About the Trading Controller job**:
The purpose of your role will be to develop, implement, and review a trading plan for a specific product range that leverages the company’s scale and efficiency with suppliers to reduce cost of goods, optimize terms and increase revenue.

**Key tasks**
- Identify, source and develop own label products and ranges to meet customer needs and business requirements.
- Develop, review and deliver national terms agreements through effective suppler negotiations.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Review, track and analyses the market in terms of trends and competitor activity.
- Plan, negotiate and deliver trading budgets.
- Develop own brand products in conjunction with the development team.

**About You**:
You must have proven experience of buying and/or selling products within fmcg for a minimum of 5 years together with the ability to build effective relationships, planning and managing a product range and successfully delivering projects on time and to budget.
- Excellent levels of both numeracy and literacy.
- Commercially aware and customer focused.
- Great people management skills with the ability to inspire and lead from the front.

**More details**:
The Trading Controller (6 month full time contract) job is based in North West London and is paying £65,000 - £70,000 plus car allowance according to your experience. The company also provide family private health insurance.

UK and international travel will be required - currently employees are required to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week and so you would need to live within a commutable distance to site.

Whilst there are no guarantees, there may be opportunities to extend beyond 6 months or possibly a permanent role.
