Reporting to: Commercial Director (interim until Head of Project Finance is appointed)

**What will you be doing?**

The main aspect of the role is to support the estimators by ensuring the tenders are acknowledged, logged in a timely manner and sent out with all information accurate and present.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the Estimating Team ensuring that all contracts and documents are produced in line with the contractors requirements and company policy
- Work alongside the Estimators to create tender files both on electronic system and printed copies
- Basic drawing take-off and calculations using the estimating software system
- Liaising with clients during the preparation of bid proposals such as requesting clarifications on client requirements and requesting additional details to enable an accurate quotation to be produced
- Screen phone calls, enquiries and requests to project finance team, and handling them in an appropriate manner
- Review tenders before they are sent to contractors and making sure all information is accurate
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers and collating quotation information
- Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Review sub-contractor tenders
- General administration duties including typing, photocopying, folding of drawings and filing

**Experience and qualifications**
- Previous experience working within a similar role
- Attention to detail is essential
- Professional and effective communications skills; interpersonal, spoken and written
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, multitask and to prioritise a varying workload
- Ability to work on own initiative and think outside the box
- Methodical approach to working
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office essential including advanced excel skills
- Have a proactive and positive approach
- Willingness to learn with an interest in construction industry
