Micropalaeontologist

PetroStrat Ltd are currently looking to expand the Micropalaeontology (benthonic and planktonic foraminifera) Department and have an opening for a Micropalaeontologist. This role will involve conducting analytical work in our Conwy office and rig environments, data integration, and reporting. Applicants should have a minimum of Masters degree in micropalaeontology and be able/willing to conduct offshore (wellsite) work. Full training for offshore work will be provided. This is an exciting time to join PetroStrat Ltd with a focus on the energy transition along with continuing to provide quality services to our existing clients.

**Who you are**:

- Educated to MSc or PhD level (or equivalent).
- Experience in analytical biostratigraphy, preferably micropalaeontology.
- Relevant experience from consultancy and client side.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering micropalaeontological projects in a range of geographies, stratigraphies and paleoenvironments.
- Strong self-direction and self-motivation, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- The ability to provide effective project management and technical expertise to the department resulting in continuous improvement and growth of the business.
- Adaptable to a dynamic travel schedule and willing to travel to offshore mobile drilling vessels to carry out wellsite micropalaeontology.
- A passion for personal development, staff development, knowledge sharing and collaborative innovation.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to confidently liaise with our colleagues, clients and wider stakeholders.
