**Your new role**
- As a Senior member within the preclinical department, you will utilise your extensive experience in immunology/ Cancer Biology to implement a variety of cell culture and immunological techniques for the strategic development of a living biobank of tumour,PDX, normal cells, organoids, and tissue slices in order to evaluate the potency, and safety of the clients' novel engineered T-Cells.
- You will have the opportunity to be involved in wider cross-departmental projects, using your breadth of knowledge to design and conduct experiments alongside the Group Leader, responsible for recording and tracking live tissue samples.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- You will hold a PhD (or equivalent research experience) in Immunology, Cancer Biology (or a relevant scientific area), including extensive post-doctoral cell culture experience.
- You will have the ability to independently design and conduct complex experiments, with a deep understanding of Immunology and Cancer Biology, in order to to manage multiple research projects, and mentor junior scientists.
- You will have a good understanding of Human Tissue Authority requirements.
- Direct experience working with fresh primary tissue (live tissue handling), and performing immunological, and functional cell assays will be an advantage.
