What we expect from you:
An exciting new role leading the JoJo children’s fashion clothing buying team to ensure we deliver the best omnichannel children’s clothing proposition to market in line with the JoJo brand identity, values and market position. You will be managing & leading an established team to effectively deliver agreed business requirements whilst supporting the Design & Buying Director for Fashion with commercial management and strategy. A wonderful opportunity to join a quality design led company producing fun and interesting product. It is never a dull moment when you have lion tees roaring at you.

You will have solid experience at Buyer or Senior Buyer level, and you will be confidently responsible for high option count across multi-product children’s clothing. You will be used to supporting the design process closely to marry creativity with commerciality whilst driving the brand forwards. We are looking for someone with strength in identifying opportunities, influencing design, driving critical paths and leading teams effectively to meet business needs. You will have managed a Buying team and be a motivational leader.

**A day in the life**
- Using your analytical skills & market knowledge, product eye and trend awareness to work with the design team to guide & influence them to create a commercial yet identifiably on brand range in line with JoJo handwriting.
- Leading your buying team to develop the right range for the business & driving sign offs, order placement & production to meet critical path delivery dates.
- Working with the Merchandising team to agree a strategy for the range structure, and to manage in season trading and OTB, optimizing all channels.
- Building strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring we deliver the best product proposition at the required margin level, anticipating any risks in the chain and balancing product placement to minimise these risks.
- Driving ethical and sustainable sourcing and manufacturing processes in line with our B-corp principles.
- Working with wider teams to ensure we have our best online range proposition and the best store ranging to maximise sales. Planning effective asset selection for photography etc.
- Presenting ranges to the management and the wider business.
- Developing and driving processes and schedules to ensure your and wider teams run efficiently and effectively to business needs and best working practices, managing change.
- Managing, developing, motivating your buying team to perform to their best ability, dealing with performance or personnel matters with integrity and balance.

- A passion for baby & kidswear plus omnichannel retail.
- Excellent level of taste, a strong commercial eye for product, good market understanding.
- Ability to identify the right product to be developed for the JoJo brand.
- Experience within a quality, niche, lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity working with factories in the Near and Far East developing a variety of children’s clothing.
- Understanding & enthusiasm for the JoJo brand and our ethics
- Delivering commercial growth within a brand
- A natural aptitude for leadership.

**You will demonstrate the following skills**:

- Proven commercial and market awareness with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- A proven ability to identify ranges for varying customers and to understand the JoJo brand and customer.
- The right “eye” to influence the JoJo handwriting, ensuring all designs are hitting expectations.
- Innovative commercial thinking - supporting business efficiency, improvements, and growth needs.
- Good negotiating skills, and supplier management capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal communication & influencing skills.
- Proven positive management and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English.
- Fully computer literate, with a solid knowledge of advanced Excel.
- Highly organised and numerical with excellent attention to detail.
