I am currently recruiting a Tiler/Painter and decorator for a market leading social housing contractor.

Job Title: Tiler/Painter and Decorating Specialist

Location: Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

**Salary**: £34,000 PA

Working hours: 7:30am - 16:00pm (Approx)

Benefits: Company van, fuel card, PDA, Annual leave amongst others.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tiler/Painter and Decorating Specialist to join our team at an award-winning social housing contractor based in Oxfordshire. As a Tiler/Painter and Decorating Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tiling, painting, and decorating services to our clients within the social housing sector. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a vital role in enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal and functionality of the properties we work on.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform various tiling, painting, and decorating tasks in residential properties, including social housing units, to meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare surfaces for tiling, painting, or wallpapering, ensuring they are clean, smooth, and properly primed.
- Assess and estimate material quantities needed for each project, ensuring cost-effective utilisation of resources.
- Select and recommend appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for tiling, painting, and decorating tasks.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new techniques, and best practices related to tiling, painting, and decorating.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Tiler/Painter and Decorating Specialist, preferably within the social housing or construction industry.
- Proficiency in tiling, painting, wallpapering, and other relevant decorative techniques.
- Knowledge of various tiling materials, paints, primers, adhesives, and other finishing products.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install tiles, ensuring precise alignment and level surfaces.
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques, including patching, sanding, and filling.
- Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and aesthetic sense.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices related to tiling, painting, and decorating.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments.
- Valid driver's license
