Freelance Garment Technologist

We strive to make luxury affordable by designing quality, timeless and versatile designs that can be worn day to night, season to season and loved for years to come.

We are looking for a Freelance Garment Technologist to join us on a temporary basis covering Knitwear. The role can be part time or full time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Fitting Knitwear and leading the session
- Communicating fit comments to suppliers and approving grading to production
- Developing proto specs for Knitwear
- Supporting design team with fabric sourcing, building a library of fabrics
- Reviewing base and bulk tests and communicating with suppliers
- Care Labels approvals
- Dealing with fit and measurement queries from suppliers
- Problem solving and working on ensuring garments / trimmings are fit for purpose and within ethical requirements
- Identifying and solving production issues

Qualification, skills and experience:

- Experience and knowledge of Knitwear (womenswear and menswear ideally)
- Experience in garment fit, construction, and fabrics, with a strong track record of delivering quality products
- Extensive knowledge of pattern making and grading, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures
- Ability to analyse technical problems and come up with solutions
- Team working and excellent communication skills
