Forklift Operator

**Job description**

Reecer Group is a well-established group of companies which specialise in the Manufacture, Refurbishment, Sale and Hire of portable buildings.

Based just outside Chepstow we are looking for an experienced 12T counter balance forklift driver and handy man to join our busy workforce. This role will be loading and unloading portable buildings/containers. 26 week probationary period. You will need to hold a current RTITB or ITSSAR counter balance and be able to provide the certificate.

Key Tasks for The Role Are:

- Unloading/loading portable buildings/containers off/onto lorries in a safe and efficient manner.
- Making sure that strict checking procedures are followed and daily checks carried out.
- Always driving the forklift trucks in a safe manner.
- Assisting in keeping the yard clean & tidy.
- Assisting with the upkeep of our hire fleet and pre delivery inspection of welfare units.
- Ability to operate other machinery such as digger/Doosan desirable but not essential
- Delivery/Collection of mobile units to customer sites. Will need a B&E licence as well.
- Carry out site maintenance tasks as required.
- You must also be hard working, reliable and diligent in all aspects of your role.

We will require you to have at least 12 months experience operating a counter balance forklift, the shift pattern is Monday - Friday from 8am to 4.30pm (half hour lunch).

Wage: £12.50 per hour, reviewed after 12 week probation. Attendance bonus allowance on successful completion of probationary period. Company pension scheme.
