Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Coordinator to join our successful Harrods Restaurants & Kitchens office team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.
As we celebrate this momentous anniversary year, now more than ever, it’s an exciting time to join the Harrods Team. Whether you’re a recent school, college or university leaver, or you’re looking to restart your career in an exciting new field, at Harrods we firmly believe in offering exciting career opportunities.
**About the Role**
In this role, you’ll support the Projects & Business Process Manager in the delivery of Restaurants & Kitchens projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the company objectives and timelines. You’ll collaborate in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, monitoring progress and addressing any deviations or obstacles.
As a Project Coordinator, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll define project scope, requirements and deliverables, ensuring all organisational procedures are adhered to and objectives are met. You’ll facilitate communication and foster collaboration among the project team members, providing regular updates, status reports and documentation.
You’ll measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor its progress, identifying any variances, performing risk assessments and any required corrective actions and communicating accordingly to all stakeholders.
**About You**
You’ll be a valuable team player with a strong track record in a similar role, exposed to Project Management process and PMO governance, ideally from a high people volume business, whether this be in a hospitality or retail environment. You’re enthusiastic about planning and executing projects and have a good understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle delivery including post implementation reviews. Ideally, you’ll have experience using Agile methodologies or possess an Agile, Scrum Master or ITIL Foundation qualification.
By bringing strong organizational and time-management skills, you’ll have the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, knowing who to engage with and when, ensuring that the project stays on track at all times. You’ll also have flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity with a positive attitude. You’ll have good analytical skills and with excellent attention to detail. Having solid PC skills is a must, being particularly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
**About Us**
Our 175th anniversary will see the Knightsbridge store become a stage for our legacy of firsts, our house of world-leading brands and our reputation for exceptional. We want you to come and be a part of all this - and help us deliver exceptional service that represents our authority as a long-standing icon, industry-leader and innovator. Inspired by our past, celebrating our present and focusing on our future, you’ll be joining a team with the belief that anything is possible. What makes you different makes us exceptional.
**Our Promise to You**
Help us make the impossible possible for our customers and we’ll do something remarkable for you. As well as offering a friendly environment to inspire your best work, we provide abundant opportunities and support to build an exceptional career across the varied specialisms of our business.
In return you’ll receive an excellent benefits package, including a company pension, flexible working, 25 days’ holiday, and your birthday off, up to 33% in-store discount (including across our food hall and restaurants) and a season ticket loan.
**Uniquely You**
While our job adverts outline the ideal qualities, skills, and prior experience for the role, we believe in the potential for growth and value individual strengths. If you do not meet every desired criteria but feel you have the skills and experience to thrive in this role as well as a genuine interest in working for Harrods and you can demonstrate an alignment with our values, we would encourage you to apply.
