- What you’ll do
- The purpose of this role is to provide programme management support for improvement projects within Aggreko Finance, taking responsibility for delivery of value from identified initiatives and championing the embedding of changes made.
- Key responsibilities include:

- Continuous Improvement
- Drive a standardised, common and practical approach to continuous improvement across end to end processes involving finance and procurement.
- Act as a champion of continuous improvement and standardisation throughout the business working to embed a culture of problem solving and improvement mindset through coaching and training
- Lead process improvement events with the finance community, supporting the GPOs and leadership team as required
- Contribute to the identification of potential improvement opportunities, working with the Global Process Owners, ATS, BPO organisation and Aggreko leadership
- Assess and support the compilation of business cases for potential improvement opportunities proposed by the Aggreko and BPO Global Process Owner team
- Help to manage continuous improvement with the Aggreko business and BPO provider, e.g. keeping track of efficiency gains and attending agreed forums
- Develop a network within the wider Finance community within Aggreko’s retained finance organisation and the wider business involved in the end to end process
- Improvement Programme Management
- Be a central contact(s) for initiatives or projects arising from within the COE on a management level.
- Adopt and implement programme governance across all projects and initiatives undertaken for finance and procurement
- Work with workstreams / teams to develop effective programme plans, stakeholder maps and identifying risks, issues and dependencies between different workstreams / teams
- Ensure that the required resources are available and are coordinated to realise the anticipated project improvements
- Identify, capture and manage programme and workstream risks and issues, mitigating as required
- Assist with managing the project budget and benefits realisation for specific initiatives or projects, where needed
- Support the decision making between projects and teams, ensuring agreed governance forums are used e.g. via Finance Leadership Team meeting
- Report and communicate on progress and updates to appropriate steering committees, wider business and programme teams.
- What we’re looking for
- Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of work experience
- Six sigma (black belt or progressing towards) or lean accreditation
- Professional skills / experience
- Minimum 3 years of programme management and continuous improvement experience
- Experience with project management software and PMO tools (RAID logs, etc) an advantage
- Experience with process improvement methodologies and tools
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good commercial awareness
- Strong stakeholder management
- A strong understanding of Finance and Procurement processes is required
- Personal skills / Experience
- Adaptable to a highly dynamic environment
- High level of credibility and ability to deal with sensitive information
- Present high level of accountability
- Driven by deliverables, determined at getting things done and projects completed
- Able to act as a ‘Critical Friend’, supporting other key stakeholders and challenging when required
- Able to drive and champion change and innovation
