Assistant Swim Tutor

**Post Title - Assistant Swim Tutor (**Disability)**

**Responsible to Swim Tutor & Project Manager**

**Location - Widnes, Cheshire**

**Job Purpose**

Fridays 6-8pm

Assisting the Swim Tutor & Project Manager with a co-ordinated programme of high quality, swimming lessons which reflect the needs of the participants. You will play a central role in enabling the company and local authority to achieve its strategic objective of enhancing region.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**

Assisting with high quality and enjoyable 30 minute swimming lessons centred on the needs of the participants. Participants will all have Complex and Additional Needs and/or Learning Difficulties and as such experience of working with similar individuals is preferred.

This role will require you to enter the swimming pool and offer 1:1 support to a participant under the supervision of the Swimming Tutor, in regards to swimming technique and water confidence. No knowledge nor swimming qualifications are required as this is the area of specialisation of the Swim Tutor.

Assisting in the development of participant health, fitness, sporting proficiency and educational attainment through a structured programme methodology.
Being responsible for the supervision of participants in their care and to ensure that those participants are provided with an enjoyable and learning focused experience.

Assisting in the collation and evaluation of management information.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 2 per week

**Salary**: £9.00 per hour
