Cromwell are in the middle of its digital strategy, to assist with this digital strategy, the successful applicant will need to help the Digital department deploy this strategy, by taking responsibility for the governance, assurance, testing and delivery of our web developed platforms.

You will need to ensure that our web developed platforms are implemented, tested and delivered to the highest possible standard.

You will be reporting directly to the Digital Lead Tester and will also support and assist other members of the Digital team.

You will be expected to help maintain and develop our existing testing platform which is written using Node.js and the Cypress testing framework.

You will need to be based in the UK and have proficient use of the English language.

Role Responsibilities
- Maintaining and defining the test framework and strategy to ensure products are being released on time to the required standards
- Help define, support and implement processes and measures that enable the delivery of a robust testing service to projects.
- Help take ownership of the QA / Stage environments ensuring that project testing services are delivered in a consistent, effective and efficient manner with respect to cost, quality and performance.
- Assist the Digital lead tester, product managers and other senior members of the team
- Create testing plans including testing phases which are easily understood and communicated to stakeholders
- Develop automated testing code, tracking and improving coverage.
- Develop and execute end to end, Integration, Stress, Performance tests.
- Identify and manage risks, creating plans to mitigate associated to products
- Testing new product releases, providing detailed explanations of issues and escalating them.
- Assisting other software engineers with bug identification, reproduction and resolution.
- In conjunction with the development Lead help the team throughout the life of the project to identify areas where improvement can be made to ensure deadlines are met
- Ongoing quality and delivery assurance of technical products throughout the project lifecycle
- Create Promotion of best practice with respect to testing, assurance and governance within projects

**Skills and Experience** required**:

- Proven experience of test delivery
- Excellent Automation skills, specifically JavaScript & Node. Creating and/or maintaining an existing automation framework using JavaScript - Cypress experience is required.
- Strong understanding of the Scrum methology, experience in multiple delivery methodologies including waterfall, KANBAN, TDD will be to your advantage.
- Developing tests for all stages of the testing cycle including functional and non-functional testing.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to proactively contribute to the design and functionality of the new features
- Experience in PostgreSQL or other SQL database technology.
- Performance testing - Basic knowledge of JMeter and BlazeMeter - to be able to write performance scripts and also execute and analyze the data.
- Knowledge of AWS in desirable - in particular, CodeBuild and CodePipeline or equivalent including Jenkins.
- Understanding of the latest developments and approaches to testing & QA including DevOps, CI/CD/CT, cloud technology and virtualisation services
- Experience in managing test service providers
- BDD experience
