Overview:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is the liaison between the Quality Assurance Group, Field Support and payroll law. A Payroll Specialist's responsibility is to perform customer service and payroll functions for internal employees. Payroll Specialists review payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years Payroll Experience preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem solving capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Computer skills: PeopleSoft, Word, Excel, Strong organizational skills
- Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Computer Skills: PeopleSoft, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

**Responsibilities**:

- Enter new hires, rehires, promotions and terminations into Peoplesoft for processing
- Review edit reports from Peoplesoft (wage, tax, & general data)
- Resolve discrepancies on employee's wages and taxes.
- First resource for clarifying payroll tax questions.
- Run On/Off cycle payroll process.
- Research & resolve bank related issues.
- Process requests for off cycle checks.
- Process stop payments and voids
- Validate outstanding checks for abandoned property
