**Hours: 8:30am - 4pm plus 1-hour weekly meetings**

**Pay: £85 - £90 per day**

Tradewind have an exciting new opening for a Behaviour Specialist to work in a vibrant and dynamic primary school located in the borough of Westminster.

This is a progressive school dedicated to promoting mental wellbeing for both staff and pupils. They are seeking a confident and compassionate Behaviour Specialist to join their team to support a Year 2 pupil with challenging behaviour and Social, Emotionaland Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Providing one-to-one support to a Year 2 pupil with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create a positive learning environment for the pupil
- Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans and support programs
- Encouraging and supporting the pupil's personal and academic development
- Promoting positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalating challenging behaviour as necessary
- Liaising with parents and external agencies as required

**Requirements for the role include**:

- Previous experience in a similar role working with children with SEMH needs
- A warm and caring approach with excellent communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of child safeguarding policies and procedures
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour management strategies
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
