Data Protection Analyst
An excellent opportunity for a data protection enthusiast to work in a friendly working environment, within our office in Brighton, UK. There is plenty of scope for personal development, and training will be provided on Data Protection matters
You will work in the following areas:
- Providing day-to-day advice on data protection matters.
- Conducting DPIAs, Legitimate Interest Assessments and Transfer Impact Assessments.
- Updating and maintaining documents including data protection policies, standards, procedures, privacy notices, internal records, Records of Processing Activities and cookies notice.
- Producing client communications and training materials.
- Conducting data protection audits and spot-checks.
- Planning and executing data protection maturity and remediation projects.
- Drafting data protection agreements (DPAs, DSAs and international transfer agreements).
- Researching and preparing reports on more in-depth data protection questions.
- Contributing to the maturity of clients’ data protection processes risk controls.
- Undertaking client project work as appropriate.
- Producing data protection training materials.
- Continue the development of a solid knowledge base of legislation, regulation, industry guidelines and technical documents.
- Supporting business growth activities including writing data protection content for newsletters and articles.
- Managing client instances of privacy technology, such as OneTrust.
Experience and skills required
- Some data protection experience and knowledge
- Undergraduate degree in any discipline
- Willingness to obtain a Data Protection qualifcation
- Ability to research and cross-reference legislation and best practice to formulate appropriate advice and materials.
- Ability to provide clear, written advice.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communications skills.
- Good analytical skills and sound judgement skills.
- Able to make recommendations that take a balanced view of the risks and possible solutions.

Data protections is a quickly growing sector, with constant demand for consultants and specialists.
