**Service Overview**

The Cedars is a small CQC registered residential care home in Clacton-on-Sea for up to twelve people over the age of 55 with learning disabilities, mental health needs and, sometimes, early onset dementia.

With the seafront only 200 yards away, we offer a warm, homely and caring environment to support people with their day-to-day living in safety and comfort. The building has recently been refurbished and it feels luxurious and stylish.

Many of the residents who live at The Cedars are referred to us due to their complex needs. We work closely with our Local Authority and placements team to provide a step-down pathway from hospital or to take care of people who can no longer live safely at home with our provision of supported living.

**What is the role?**

**Activities Worker - £9.50 (FTE: £18525)**
- Create links with local communities
- Design and organise activities for all of our residents; groups and for 121 sessions
- Get creative What fun things can you bring into the home?
- Discover opportunities for residents to get involved in things outside the home
- Get relatives and friends involved in the activities and make a difference
- Organising trips and outings
