**Quality Assurance Assistant**
**Days/Hours - Friday - Monday, 6am-6pm**
**Salary - £15.40 - £16.50 per hour depending on experience**

Applied Nutrition is the UK’s fastest-growing sports and active nutrition company. We formulate and produce sports and active nutrition supplements, grab and go snacks and energy drinks for professional athletes, fitness enthusiasts and the gym lifestyle community.
Due to our rapid growth and continued expansion of our manufacturing facilities we are looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant.
The Quality Assurance Assistant will assist the Quality Assurance Manager in developing and managing Quality Assurance Management Systems on site at our HQ in Knowsley, Merseyside. You will help to ensure we are compliant with the relevant Food Safety Regulations and compliance to the relevant Food Safety certification standards including BRC and ISO22000.
You will be responsible for all activities that ensure compliance to relevant Food Regulations and compliance to Good Distribution Practices for ingredients.
This role is on site in Knowsley, Liverpool. Remote workers please do not apply, the successful applicant must be able to commute to Knowsley, Liverpool, UK.
**Roles & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)**:
- Maintain accountabilities for all operations related to HACCP, hygiene, food safety, health and safety, and pest control.
- Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with HACCP, hygiene, and safety standards along with implementing corrective actions based on audit findings, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and advisory Document Control - maintain paperwork, amend as required.
- Stay updated on evolving regulations and industry standards and then implement processes to comply with new requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety Legislation, Food Labelling Laws, Health & Safety
- Strong attention to detail whilst being able to analyse information.
- Collection of sampling for testing as per schedule.
**Skills**
- HACCP experience
- Food Safety Level 2
- Allergen Awareness
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems & HACCP
- Knowledge about GMP & Glass and Plastic
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills
