This is a brand-new role for Exceptional, Saga’s media arm. Working as our Producer / Video Creator you will be an expert in video creation and production, either from a more traditional film and TV role or have experience creating content for platforms like YouTube, Facebook and TikTok.

As Producer/Creator you will be responsible for delivering video content as agreed with the rest of the media team, from working with the presenters to come up with ideas, booking shoots, ensuring the relevant paperwork is completed, to occasionally getting stuck in and editing videos.

The Producer/Creator role is a new and important position within the Exceptional video team. You’ll be tasked with delivering our video content strategy and helping us to build a great community around the content that we create. You will be primarily responsible for ensuring that videos are produced and edited on time and on budget with due consideration given to relevant paperwork, but you’ll also be happy to shoot and edit video where needed.

**Hybrid working ** We will require you to attend the Chippenham - Wiltshire office / studio 2 or 3 days a week. You will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance to undertake this role.**

Main Responsibilities
As our Producer / Creator you will be managing a small team, so experience of managing and nurturing more junior team members is key. You’ll also be speaking to a wide range of people from around the business meaning you’ll need to be great at building relationships with a broad spectrum of people.

We need you to have previously worked in a high-volume creative role, where deadlines are tight and turnaround is fast. We’re not producing highly storyboarded TV or film content, we’re creating high quality videos that resonate with our audience, so you’ll be happy with a fast pace of production which still delivers great content.

You will be responsible for the following areas;
- Ensuring all videos are delivered according to the production schedule.
- To manage the budget for the video team, from hardware to shoot budgets.
- Guiding and managing junior members of the team.
- Advising on the content plan for video.
- Scheduling / planning shoots with your team and the presenters.
- Ensuring that relevant paperwork for location and equipment is completed for all our shoots.
- Able to create impactful video content using Premiere Pro in a remote/hybrid setting.
- Have a good understanding of how to create a high volume of video content on a regular basis either agency or client side.
- Can create video content for use across multiple platforms / channels.
- Understands the media landscape as it pertains to video.
- Have previously organised shoots, obtaining permissions, creating call sheets, risk assessments and authorisation.
- Have an understanding of the tools available for reporting and analysis of video content.
- **Writing skills** - you'll need great spelling and grammar to ensure that our content meets expectations.
- **Attention to detail** - we need to make sure that we’re doing things in a sensible way.
- **Communication skills** - you'll be working with all variety of people, so you will need to be clear and concise with instructions.
- **Management experience** - you’ll be running a small team, you will be keen to help colleagues grow and develop.
- Keen to ‘have a go’ - we’ll be doing and learning, so you’ll be flexible in your approach.
- **Desirable; **Have been involved in running a high-volume YouTube channel.
