Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Mechanic / Fitter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career as an Apprentice. You will work with two experienced Mechanics and Fitters in the Company's Garage and you will receive on-the-job training and guidance to develop your skills and knowledge in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults
- Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines in the workshop
- Keep work areas clean and organised
- Attend training sessions to enhance technical knowledge
- Develop proficiency in using tools and equipment under supervision

**Skills**:

- Strong willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on environment
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in vehicle systems
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team

You will work in the Garage 4 days per week and be released to the Sourthern Regional College, Newry 1 day per week.

You will be paid the National Minimum Wage in accordance with your age and your rate of pay will be reviewed after 6 months.
