Technical Machine Operative

**Providing technical advice, support and training to the production team regarding all machinery to ensure all lines meet all quality and production standards and KPIs.**

Ensure the allocated line operation is in accordance with the applicable technical requirements, through constant monitoring and taking corrective action as necessary.

Make sure that all new Production team members and temporary staff are fully trained before undertaking their duties on their allocated line.

Deliver refresher training for the Production team to make sure that the highest levels of efficiency and quality control are maintained. Liaise with the Team Leaders to ensure all training records are up to date and signed off.

Ensure toolbox checks are undertaken at the start of every shift by conducting daily checks, liaising with the Engineering team if there are any missing components or anything that needs attention.

Provide the Production team with the technical advice and support they need to be able to operate the line effectively, meeting the agreed production standards and agreed KPIs.

Take the lead to ‘troubleshoot’ and resolve any technical issues arising on all lines.

Ensure that all line start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers are smooth and efficient, and the necessary paperwork is completed in a timely manner. This is across all lines when support is required.

Liaise with Quality Assurance, making technical adjustments as necessary during shift to ensure Production is within specifications.

Ensure compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations through vigilant monitoring and timely reporting of any anomalies.

Ensure full compliance with the machine shutdown process for all technical requirements.

Adhere to the technical escalation process at all times, involving Engineers when required and completing the Engineering Request Log.

Collaboration with Team Leaders, Line Leaders, Engineers and Production Supervisor to ensure an efficient and effective operations team.

Please note there is some heavy lifting involved - up to 25kg

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS**
- Operation of multiple machines
- Experience of Food Production/Pack-Fill
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Clear Communication skills
- Ability to train others if required and a Team Player
- Attention to detail due to completion of paperwork
- Planning and organisational skills
- Technical know-how on specifications for all machinery
- Health and Safety Awareness
- Manufacturing Processes (GMP)

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
