**A Business Support Officer is needed to deliver comprehensive business support service for Adults and Children’s Social Care, including support of business and social care processes.** Key responsibilities:

- Co-ordinate meetings and Minute taking.
- Ensure statutory requirements and time scales are met.
- Understand personal responsibility regarding confidentiality, data protection and information governance.
- Process the payment of invoices, raise purchase orders and carry out other financial tasks in accordance with procedures.
- Updating and maintenance of data.
- Provide customer facing contact with clients.
- Support the management of client relationship and expectations.
- Contribute to continual service review and development.

- Experience of using a wide range of IT packages in a business environment, and to use these to deliver a cost-effective and customer-focused service.
- Experience of working in multi-agency environment.
- Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information governance issues and how this is observed and maintained.
- A good understanding of outcomes for children, young people, and families.
- Familiar with social care recording systems.

Skills/Technical skills:

- Ability to co-ordinate meetings including statutory and complex meetings/conferences/ reviews/panels/ trackers.
- Ability to administer full, accurate and detailed minutes of complex conferences/reviews/panels within agreed timescales.
- Ability to work in a detailed task-oriented environment, delivering high accuracy results to excellent standards.
- Ability to use the most appropriate style and method of communication with people at different levels inside and outside of the organisation.
- Ability to manage time effectively, to work on own initiative to manage and prioritise own workload, setting appropriate objectives and deadlines and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse information, and considering alternative solutions, adapting to new ways of working where necessary.
- Ability to provide a customer-focused approach to service delivery and participate in identifying and implementing opportunities for improving the service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and concisely.
- Able to work accurately and methodically.
