**Stores/Sales Assistant**

Tec Products Ltd is a growing welding & industrial supplies business based in Thirsk. We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Stores/Sales assistant to join our small busy team. You should have excellent communication skills and be customer service orientated so you are able to help grow our business by building successful, long-term customer relationships whilst out delivering their orders. A knowledge of or keen interest in welding products is highly desirable.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Goods in / out responsibilities
- Monitoring stock levels & stock taking
- Customer order picking
- Internal sales / answering the telephone
- Serving customers on the trade counter
- Preparing customer quotations
- Occasional local customer deliveries
- Wholesale experience is preferable but not essential
- Strong work ethic and initiative
- Ability to work under pressure
- Be responsible for cleaning company vehicles, to ensure they look well looked after and presentable at al times
- Adopt a safe driving style at all times when operating company vehicles.
- As a member of a small team assist with carrying out other tasks as and when required

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required**:

- Must have held a valid UK (manual) driving licence for a minimum of 2 years, with no more than 6 penalty points.

Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, polite, helpful positive attitude, as this is a customer facing role where you are representing the business.
- Knowledge in welding, industrial and engineering supplies is preferred but if not an interest in these products is essential as we can provide training if required to enable you to best meet our customers’ needs. You must be willing to expand your knowledge of the goods we sell.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work tasks
- Some manual handling will be required to load & unload goods.

**Working Hours**:
40 hour standard contract

Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00.

**Salary**:
Starting from £24,000, rate negotiable depending on experience.
