SF Recruitment are working with a superb manufacturing business in North Leicestershire who are seeking an interim Head of Finance to join their small but well ran team. Reporting into the Finance Director you will be responsible for structures, processes, and accountabilities to effectively partner and challenge senior business leaders. The ideal Head of Finance will have outstanding communication skills & develop key relations between leadership teams, CFO, Group level & external stakeholders. This is a hands on role & will take ownership of the tight financial control, generate reliable & accurate information and provide insightful & user-friendly reporting.

**Head of Finance Duties will include**:

- To assist with the development and implementation of the strategy for the business.
- Lead the process for budgets and forecast
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team including talent identification, team development and management.
- Drive an improvement culture to ensure Finance is pushing analysis or understanding forward to improve decision making
- Lead and manage the finance team towards timely and accurate delivery of weekly and month end accounts. Own the cash, balance sheet and fixed costs budget / forecasting process and deliver performance of debtor / creditor performance in line with budget
- Enhance and implement fit for purpose financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems to support a constantly changing and evolving manufacturing business.
- Manage the year end external audit and tax return process with the outcome being no audit or tax return adjustments required.
- Embed a robust Costing process
- Be a real business partner to relevant senior business leaders, providing quality, timely and insightful information.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE**
- A strategic thinker who is able to 'rise above' the day-to-day operations and be aware of the organisation's direction.
- Actively contribute to the strategic planning process of the total business, including business planning, accurate forecasting and KPI tracking.
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post qualified experience
- Have a background in a manufacturing and/or FMCG business.
- Highly analytical with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
