We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to create, develop and deliver outstanding dishes for visitors coming to our Cafes, Bars, Rooftop Restaurant and staff dining room.

This role will enable you to use your skills to create delicious menus within this dynamic theatre environment. We are always innovating and looking for fresh ideas and ways of wowing our customers with food that makes their visit to our establishments memorable.

As a Sous Chef at the RSC you will work closely with the Head and Chef and committed team members to:

- Drive rotation of all menus on offer, both seasonally and in line with the changing artistic programme.
- Supervise and manage the team to include the management of the day-to-day operation.
- Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and associated legislative regulations.
- Ensure and support a strong Health and Safety culture that is embedded within the kitchen brigade.
- Be a key member of the Catering Management team, serve as a role model providing the link between the front of house and the kitchen, liaising with colleagues to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.

To be successful in this role you must:

- Have previous experience of working within a high volume, quality food environment at a senior level
- Have strong leadership skills combined with a proven ability in management and communication
- Be a motivational and inspirational leader
- Have a pro-active approach with the ability to work flexibly, multi-task and deliver in a pressured environment.
- Have appropriate Food Safety Qualifications and be able to demonstrate high standards of health and safety practice

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 48 hours per week, five days out of seven.
