Semh - Deputy Headteacher

Horizon Teachers are looking for an enthusiastic individual with fantastic leadership skills to help grow an already brilliant alternative provision based in Guildford. The SEMH school needs someone who has a vision for the future and the drive to executeit, to ensure that the school thrives and offers the best education possible for its students. The ideal person will be a passionate and committed teacher who is able to offer their teaching experience on occasion whilst also completing their duties as partof the Senior Leadership Team.
The school itself is an Ofsted Good' school and they are seeking the leadership to help elevate them to Outstanding'. The school has roughly 20 students between the ages of 11-17 and follows a slightly altered curriculum. The students are all diagnosed withvarious Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs meaning that the teaching staff and support staff all have a good degree of experience prior to beginning work there.
**The ideal person will have**:

- Experience of a leadership position in an alternative provision.
- Teaching experience to a class of mixed ages and abilities.
- Good communication skills and a forward-thinking attitude toward progress and development.
- Good Knowledge of various SEMH needs.
