Puro Accountancy is excited to assist an Accountancy firm in the Liverpool region in their quest for an individual to assist with Payroll that is going to integrate into their warm and established team of accounting professionals.

**Responsibilities of the Payroll Position will encompass**:

- Prepare and submit statutory payroll and pension returns on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis in a timely manner.
- Manage and process a portfolio of client’s payrolls, which will include an onboarding and processing using various Payroll software.
- Feel confident in client facing and being able to offer guidance and support to them and establish long standing relationships.
- Ensure statutory compliance for all payroll matters.
- Handle day-to-day pay-related enquiries, including those related to pay, pensions, and national insurance.
- Additionally assist and support the team as needed with accountancy tasks, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and general administrative tasks, including compliance and regulatory matters.

**To be eligible for the Payroll Position, you should possess**:

- Relevant Payroll experience working within a UK practice is essential for this role
- Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Ideally an AAT Level 3 qualification or higher would be preferred
