Welding & Qc Inspector

**Job Specification**

We are seeking applicants for the position of Welding & QC inspector, to join our team in Cwmbran, South Wales. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be working for a rapidly expanding company in a challenging and robust industry.

**Essential Skills/ knowledge**

The following attributes are considered essential for the role.
- Time served welder / plater / fabricator
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Qualified weld inspector with experience of working within a structural steel fabrication environment
- Ability to read/write welding specification/procedures.
- Ability to create documentation and records as and when required.
- Ability to accurately follow defined procedures.
- Pre-dispatch inspection of finished machines.
- To feedback any perceived product and/or process improvements to design and management teams.
- To work closely with design team in analysing problems/discrepancies and to find solutions.
- Team player with a positive attitude towards project delivery
- Good understanding of general engineering practices.

**Desirable Skills/knowledge**

The following attributes are considered desirable for the role.
- Full UK drivers licence
- CSWIP and/or PCN accreditation
- HNC, HND or Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience of working within the railway or railway maintenance industry

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
