Operationally support a portfolio of solutions projects, including technical and confidential work.
- Assist in the delivery of solutions projects and workstreams, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with Solutions Directors of Delivery and Programme Delivery Managers on Solutions Assignments.
- Respond to client instructions or queries, which may encompass complex, technical, and confidential matters.
- Provide instruction, guidance, and training, addressing a wide range of issues that may vary in complexity and sensitivity.

Communication and the establishment of personal credibility up to Board level with the clients are central to the job. This is built upon the provision and receipt of routine, highly complex, contentious, and sensitive information of a confidential nature.

This will require the use of key skills of negotiation and persuasion, tact, a deep appreciation and understanding of complex and changing client risks, NHS systems and existing guidance. These skills and requirements will be expected to be constantly developed and enhanced to meet changing environments and requirements. Discussions with senior and non-finance staff forms a substantial element of the job often concerning contentious and complicated financial, control and governance issues at a corporate level.

Communication will involve discussions with external agencies. The job involves significant involvement in persuading and negotiating the reasoning behind recommendations with senior staff, up to and including Board level, across a range of disciplines to arrive at an agreed position. Communication of findings, advice and opinion will be personally and principally delivered through attendance at Director level meetings, committees, or groups of the clients through high level presentations and potentially to large groups of staff.

Produces, agrees, and supports the delivery of several projects and workstreams across a wide and varied client base that are designed to produce sufficient assurances to fulfil the requirements of the Client needs.

Manages the delivery, conduct, output, and opinions for Solutions work across a wide and varied client base within agreed deadlines, financial budgets, and quality standards.

Manages and develops key relationships across a wide and varied client base, including Senior and Director Level.

Supports the provision of advice to clients across a wide range of matters, ensuring awareness of MIAA’s extensive range of expertise and support including but not limited to digital, transformation, programme management, healthcare quality, governance, and leadership. Responsible for ensuring allocated projects are incorporated into the overall planning of resources and commitments for the function. Plans and organises the work schedule for allocated client’s projects to ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual timetables are delivered particularly regarding Client deadlines.

Personally, supports a range of complex projects for reporting to senior management including Director level. These will routinely be complicated and mutli-layered where sensitive judgements need to be framed in situations where solutions are not clear.

This will involve extensive audit and development activity, keeping up to date with national policy and guidance and developing new innovative products and services.

Responds to, and often anticipates, queries from clients, which may be of a highly sensitive and highly confidential nature, investigates and reports as necessary to the satisfaction of the client. These queries may relate to complex issues requiring a detailed understanding of complex client risks, NHS systems and existing guidance. This will include advice, information, and guidance for direct use by patients, relatives, or carers.
