A local Education trust are looking for someone to join their Governor’s team on a 12-month contract to support the Governance Manager with the delivery, organisation and administration of the Trust’s governor meetings.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Someone with knowledge of the Education Sector would be advantageous but not essential
- An eye for attention to detail is essential
- Proactive and organised with excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills
- Able to communicate effectively
- You will be very well organised and be used to multi-tasking as well as demonstrating adept problem-solving skills.

**The Job**:

- Provide support in discharging strategic and operational functions around governance
- Support the governance to ensure that governance meetings and governance training is undertaken in a professional and effective manner and satisfy all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Have responsibility for all governance meetings, through the design, implementation, and maintenance of effective governance systems
- Have responsibility for liaison with all stakeholders (Trustees, Governors, Executive Directors, Principals, parents, colleagues, and other meeting attendees) involved in governance meetings
- Providing governance advice on compliance requirements, meeting arrangements and procedural rules to all stakeholders
- Diary management for the governance meetings
- Develop and maintain all governance records, procedures, and databases
- Provide direct support and advice to all stakeholders to ensure that they have the governance information, procedures, and advice they need in order to fulfil statutory, regulatory and other responsibilities to the Trust
- Make sure all stakeholders receive timely, accurate, well-presented information that enables them to make effective decisions
- Effective minute taking for all meetings
- Have responsibility for the organisation and administration of Trust governance visits and events for all stakeholders
- Have responsibility for designing, managing, and monitoring the completion of training programmes by stakeholders
