The Quality Auditor role is to ensure the quality, safety and legality of the finished product in accordance with agreed standards and specifications. The Quality Auditor must adhere to the quality and specification requirements ensuring all quality records and internal paperwork is accurately, factually and clearly legible to maintain traceability. Ensure compliance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and retailer specific Codes of Practice at all times.

Job Outline:

- Ensure quality is maintained throughout the production and packing process
- Ensure good levels of communication and cooperation with all departments
- Ensure the final product meets all product quality and customer specification parameters
- Completing quality checks as specified on QMS systems, completing necessary product records on time and to required standard
- Calibrate weighing and temperature testing equipment in accordance with agreed standards
- Rejecting product that does not pass the required testing procedures
- Investigating, rectifying and establishing corrective actions in the event product quality, safety or legality is compromised
- Ensuring that the required process and quality control data is recorded accurately
- Responsible for ensuring all retailers and accreditation bodies (i.e. BRC and Soil Association) requirements are met. Address day to day food safety, legality and quality issues.

Experience required:

- At least two years of working within a food factory environment
- Understanding of Quality processes and systems
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Attention to detail
- Confident to challenge situations that fall below the required standard
