- £15.24 + holiday pay- Web advert- Do you have experience in HR?- We are currently recruiting or a temporary HR Administrator to at a central Oxford University Department starting ASAP for approx. 12 weeks working 36.5 hrs p/w and paying £15.24 p/h + Holiday Pay.- Duties:
- 1. Work with faculties to support the recruitment and appointments processes for academic professional service staff and researchers, ensuring compliance with University and Divisional guidance, best practice and deadlines.-
- 3. Process new appointments, including preparing standard letters of appointment and contracts, and ensuring that all relevant checks are completed and appropriately documented, including those relating to right to work and Occupational Health.- 4. Inputting into the university HR System (PeopleXD), changes include leavers, funding changes, and FTE changes (e.g. changes from full-time to part-time). Run reports from PeopleXD and check that data is accurate and up-to
- date, and identify any issues relating to the data.-
- 6. Provide support for the administration of causal appointments: liaising as necessary with faculty staff to ensure letters of engagement are issued in a timely manner, and preparing the necessary information for staff in finance and data services.-
- 8. Monitor contract end dates and administer end of contract processes relating to fixed-term appointments, working in conjunction with faculties to ensure that they are carried out in compliance with University HR processes.- 9. Track activities and maintain accurate records to ensure timely management of processes and to support reporting and monitoring.- 10. Accurately maintain confidential personnel files and reports in accordance with the University's GDPR policy.
- 11. Contribute to the continued sharing of HR best practice across faculties to enhance resilience and improve the service provided.
- 12. Other duties commensurate with the grade, as directed by the HR Team lead.- Person specification**Essential**:

- GCSE (grade A-C) level English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Experience of working in an HR team/ HR role
- CIPD training or qualification
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law (including equality, capability, discipline, dismissal, and redundancy)
- Awareness of data protection and information security guidelines
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate HR processes and procedures verbally and in writing
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise workload and produce accurate, detailed work within deadlines
- Experience of providing a high level of customer service with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake professional development and training
- Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential information, and ability to communicate sensitively on difficult issues.
