Our client is one of the fastest growing companies within their specialism and are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger expert who will report directly to the Finance Director and take ownership of the purchase ledger function for the business.
They are a £10 million turnover multi-disciplined business with sites across the Northwest and Yorkshire with future sites planned over the next 5 years.
This is a hands-on role in a small finance team and will require a proactive purchase ledger professional who will take control of the full purchase ledger function.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ownership of the purchase ledger function
- Processing invoices approx. circa 200 weekly and dealing with supplier queries and disputes
- Preparing payments
- Processing credit card and employee expenses
- Statement reconciliations
- Monthly reporting and reconciling purchase ledger to nominal ledger.
- Although this role is primarily purchase ledger focused, there will be a requirement to cover for the Credit Controller during busy and holiday periods.
**Person Specification**:
- Proven experience in a busy purchase ledger role
- Great interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good team working skills and the ability to cover for colleagues
- Ability to work to monthly deadlines
- Sound IT skills - knowledge of accounting software packages and strong excel skills
