You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and passionate about delivery of high quality care. As a health care assistant within the team, your role will be assisting our patients with everyday tasks which involve maintaining a good oral intake, assisting with personal hygiene, and escorting patients to various procedures whilst also assisting both our medical and nursing teams deliver treatment.

The teams have patients which are referred from a variety of places including A&E, AMU, G.P and outpatient Clinics and are referred to the teams with a variety of health conditions, these can be Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrine, Infectious diseases, Stroke and Cardiology. The unit also gives opportunity to care for the older person with complex health conditions. Each team lends a fantastic place to learn and develop skills also to work alongside skilled health professionals who work within the multidisciplinary team.

You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and passionate about delivery of high quality care. As a health care assistant within the team, your role will be assisting our patients with everyday tasks which involve maintaining a good oral intake, assisting with personal hygiene, and escorting patients to various procedures whilst also assisting both our medical and nursing teams deliver treatment.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.

In addition to its bustling centre and historic seafront, the town is world famous for its many attractions, including the famous Blackpool Tower. Basic I.T. skills in E mail. Basic understanding of NHS issues. Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the health care setting. Carry out clinical interventions as delegated by a RN as agreed by local protocols. Good attendance record Able to perform a wide range of duties
