We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Caretaker. You will be responsible for opening and closing the building Monday to Friday, ensuring the building is secure after the last event of the day. Some weekend coverage might be required.

- You will set up rooms for classes and events as well as clearing rooms afterwards.
- Oversee facility maintenance, including general upkeep, minor repairs and redecoration.
- Supervise cleaning staff and garden maintenance.
- Ensure safety and security protocols are followed by briefing hirers on fire exits, heating arrangements etc.
- Coordinate seasonal decorations.
- Coordinate with outside bodies/suppliers such as vermin control, fire alarm maintenance, fire extinguisher maintenance, laundry services.
- Oversee the operation of the kitchen and other facilities.
- Liaise with property Trustee on major work needed
- Handle booking management, including checking the calendar for availability and maintaining contact with users/hirers regarding their bookings
- Liaising with finance administrator

Essential
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft experience preferred).
- Knowledge of safety protocols and building maintenance practice.

Desirable
- Previous experience in building management or related field
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities for dealing with users and external suppliers
- First aid certificate

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
