Our Client, a well-established multi-channel retailer offers its customers a wide range of quality lifestyle, fashion and homeware products now has an excellent opportunity for a Buying Administrator / Assistant to join their team.

They are looking for someone who is passionate about product and gaining experience and developing a career in buying who will help them achieve their growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop skills working with suppliers in the Far East and learning how new designs are conceived and brought to market.

**Key responsibilities**
- System set up for products/Skus on AX system and maintain data.
- Setting up product information onto line details including size, colour, product description, prices etc and maintain the information.
- Sending out parcels to suppliers UK and Far East
- Produce and manage Technical Sheets for each product including fibre compositions.
- Website product checks
- Check copy for paper offers and online
- Tag up samples for photo shoots and chase in photographic samples from suppliers.
- Create and manage a buying critical path for lab dips/bulk fabrics/trims/photo sample and ensure dates are to time.
- Approvals in buyers’ absence
- Swatch cards for Repro
- Obtain samples from stock for ecommerce shoots/still life shoots and model shoots.
- Competitors price comparisons twice a season online and in stores.
- Manage the sample room
- Liaise with suppliers UK and Far East
- Answer product queries from the call centre team
- Line listings for the web team on new and reincluded lines
- Liaise with the marketing and Design team on web promotional offers

**Key requirements**:

- Strong organisational skills
- Multitasking
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Working to deadlines and prioritising work
- Teamwork as well as working on your own initiative
- Knowledge of Excel and Word
- Degree educated or the equivalent

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
