Laundry Assistant

Niche Housekeeping Services require an additional member of staff to join our laundry business, Laundryserv. Our laundry is based in Beverley but we cover Beverley and the surrounding areas and provide a laundry service for both commercial and domestic customers. You will joining our existing busy team of staff.

Mondays 8.30 am - 4.30 pm

Tuesdays 8.30 am - 4.30 pm

Wednesday 8.30 am - 12.30 pm

Thursday 8.30 am - 12.30 pm

Friday 8.30 am - 2.30 pm

Some additional hours maybe asked to work during the busy periods and to cover staff holidays but this would be by prior arrangements.

Your duties will include:
- Greeting customers at the reception desk, weighing and pricing the cost of the laundry service. Taking payments - both cash and card payments.

Contacting customers on the telephone to advise their laundry ready for collection

Sorting/recording and checking of laundry brought into the laundry

Loading and unloading of commercial washing machines and tumble driers

Folding of laundry after drying

Assisting on the commercial ironing roller

As required, hand ironing of customers items

Completing paperwork for invoicing by office staff

Sorting table linen for customer private hire

Changing of LPG gas cannisters

Checking of stock levels

We would also prefer a driver to drive our Citroen Berlingo van to provide cover for staff who are on holiday/absent but this is not an essential requirement.

Full training in the role would be provided so previous experience is not required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour
