**An established and successful company with a number of catering outlets on site serving all fresh breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and early dinner menus. Innovative, en-trend, progressive and developing is how I would describe their approach to food.

The Sous Chef we are looking for will have a high volume fresh food background with experience gained in the branded or independant restaurant/cafe/pub/hotel sectors. It will also suit a senior chef de partie looking to step up and further develop theirskills working alongside an excellent food operations manager/head chef who is passionate about training and developing people.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage all day to day aspects of the kitchen alongside the head chef
- Deputise for the head chef in their absence
- Input into menu development, design and costing
- Prepare and cook the all fresh company menus
- Help to control labour, the GP, stock and wastage
- Train, supervise and develop the team
- Maintain high standards, compliance and company systems & procedures
- Work closely with the FOH restaurant team

**KEY EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES**:

- Experience as a Sous Chef/Senior CDP gained in high volume branded or independent fresh food restaurants, pubs, cafes or hotels
- Excellent people, communication and supervisory skills
- Menu development skills
- A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
- Passion for cooking with fresh produce
- An good understanding of legislation & compliance
- The ability to motivate and enthuse people and teams to deliver results
- A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
- IT literate - working with systems & process
