The Head of Strategy, Policy and International will be responsible for coordinating delivery of this 5-year transformation plan, ensuring it aligns with the national policy environment and emerging innovations on the horizon and capturing the benefits of international collaboration.

**Job description**:

- Co-ordinating delivery of the 5-year transformation plan; working with Executive Team members to calibrate, on an annual basis, how the 10 cross-cutting elements that support the transformation are progressing (namely: prioritisation, innovative methods, proportionate processes, real world data, usable products, engaging with the system, productive partnerships, people & culture, improvement capability and technology).
- Leading development of the annual business plan for NICE, based on the development of directorate plans as well and the 10 cross-cutting elements described above.
- Facilitating delivery of the annual business plan through deploying the specialist skills of Transformation team members to support teams delivering business plan priorities.
- Ensuring alignment between NICE’s plans and national policy, tracking key policy developments across the UK and extracting their relevance now and in the future.
- Ensuring alignment between NICE’s plans and new technologies emerging on the horizon, building NICE’s horizon scanning function, covering medicines, devices, diagnostics, digital technologies and key pathway or service changes.
- Leading NICE’s international strategy and collaborations, developing a NICE-wide strategy for international collaborations, working closely with guidance producing teams and the Director of Finance and Commercial, to ensure we both contribute to and benefit from international developments in HTA, real world data and guideline development.
