**Staff Mental Health Awareness Trainer, 225 hours for 30 days per year. 0.1154 FTE**

**This is an annualized hours contract which means that the post holder will be paid a regular amount but the days and hours worked will be agreed in advance with the Staff Mental Health Training Lead. This role may be held alongside another part time role. This is an in-person role.**

**Grade 7: Salary £36,024 - £44,263 p.a. pro rata (TBC)**

**About the Role**

This is an exciting new role created to support the ongoing development of the training branch of the University Counselling Service. Working collaboratively with the Staff Mental Health and Skills Training Lead and other colleagues, the post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of mental health and student support skills training. The post holder will assist with the monitoring of training to ensure consistency and quality of delivery, with particular reference to attendance and staff engagement. The post holder will evaluate the training on a regular basis through trainee feedback then submit this information to the Training Lead to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

**About You**
- Substantial experience of delivering training, therapeutic groups or psychoeducational workshops
- Knowledge and understanding of the welfare and mental health support needs of students and the associated responsibilities of academic and professional support staff
- Evidence of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accreditation/UKCP Registration or equivalent body eg Chartership with the British Psychological Society (BPS); Registration with the Health and Care Professions Counc(HCPC)
- Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, to self-motivate and motive others
